The Battle for Bloody Creek...Nov.21 at 10am
KingSensei sent this:

Situation Report: On the First Lady’s good will tour to the country of Santa Cruz the Presidents grand daughter was been bitten by a rat carrying an unique strain of rabies called R44. The only known antidote to the dreaded R44 Rabies is located in the village of Doggone. Doggone village is tucked tight into the high forest and mountainside of a mountain range. Because of its inaccessibility by air the serum must be retrieved by land.

Cree rebels have seized a trail that crosses a small creek that leads to Doggone village. The government of Santa Cruz has given our forces unrestricted rights to eliminate the Cree rebels and retrieve the serum.

Mission orders: Mike Force 2 is assigned to secure the creek crossing. Allowing Delta Force one access to the village and the serum. Meet any resistance with deadly force. The child’s life is in your hands. Good luck!

Cree rebel headquarters intel report: Americans are working with the government troops trying to eliminate our coca fields. They want our leaders home village to prove they have control of us. Stop the American pigs from getting to our beloved leader’s village by setting ambush at the creek crossing. Long live the revolution!

Because of the remote location of this playing field you must:
1. Have your equipment ready (magazines filled, batteries charged) to be transferred to four-wheeled drive vehicles.
2. Bring water and a lunch. We will be playing two one and a half-hour games with a 30-minute break.
3. The briefing starts at 1000 hours (10 am) and we load up after the briefing. No one will be left to direct you to the play site.

For further information on this game email me at: kingsensei@aol.com For directions, email rbontrager@cccpp.com.

The internet maps are very good but further directions will be emailed to those on our list. The game location will be at: 450 Hillside Drive, Boulder Creek, California 95006.

Happy Thanksgiving! Nov.25th-28th
To all those who celebrate this holiday, HAVE AN GREAT WEEKEND! As for myself, I plan to spend quality time with family and friends...

Of course, I'll also make sure to play lots of SWAT3 (yeah, it rocks!), to absorb McRaven's excellent textbook Spec Ops - Case Studies in Special Operations Warfare: Theory and Practice, to round up the BAASH guys for more fun in the old-growth redwood forests, and to finish up on the official BAASH website...

*Whew!* I hope I get all this done before heading out for more business trips. The millenium is drawing to a close, and there's lots I'd like to accomplish!

Enjoy your turkey and stuffin'!

JFun fact: Did you know that the X-ring! website will be two years old on this New Year's Eve?

Op: Jungle Crisis
Valkyrie Air sent this:

Quote:

"In a country of strategic importance to the Alliance, the military presence has grown to staggering size. The locals have yet to see any benefit from the foreign presence, and have come to resent the military occupation.

The Alliance occupation or "peace keeping" force has ended up acting as local militia, police and as targets for scorn. This highly trained force has spent more time settling arguments and arresting shoplifters than actually being the military unit they were trained to be."

Come out to Owens Outpost on Saturday, November 13th to help keep the peace or be part of the rebel menace.

Come prepared for a day of surprises and rule twists. Please bring an open mind. We will take comments on the game and the rules we use after the game. We look forward to having you all in our sights.

For more information, maps or details, please feel free to email us at: mwraa@valkyrieair.com or see out newly updated MidWest Regional AirSoft Association website at www.valkyrieair.com/mwraa

M92F GBB Review
Sniper sent his first look at the long-awaited M92F gas blowback pistol from Tokyo Marui:

Quote:

Yes, I have the Mauri M9 GBB, and I must say it's a real, REAL fine gun!!! I picked up mine for about 100.00 (I put it up for auction, but the f***er stiffed me...). It's made of real high grade, and thick plastic with metal inserts. The magazine is not stamped metal like everyone else's, but CAST metal!! Man, it's awesome! It holds 26 rounds, and can easily get 2 clips on 1 fill. The blowback is fast and crisp, but doesn't "feel" sharp like the WA hi-cap series. Trigger pull is exceptional, both double and single action. Double tapping is very easy, and controllable, due to the fast blowback and lighter recoil to stay on target. Accuracy is top notch, I mean really top drawer! The fixed sights are right on, and I can shoot just about a whole clip into a 1 inch square from 5m! Power is average among other pistols, around the .5j range. The gun takes down just like the real steel, except for the recoil spring guide which has a tab on one end which goes into the barrel block. I believe that set up is superior to the others because the rod is constantly true and aids in consistent barrel/slide lock up. The safety doesn't decock the hammer and that would have to be the only complaint I have, if you can call it one. If you put all the GBB M9's made on a table, this could easily get lost in the mix. Fit, function, form, and finish is among the best, but when the prices are revealed I guarantee you will be surprised how Mauri can put out such a quality pistol at such a low price! I wouldn't just recommend this pistol to someone on a budget, I recommend this gun to anyone who wants a serious gun with the performance to match!

Well....there's an exclusive review for you!! The M9 pic came out a bit fuzzy, but check out the clip!! Look how thick that thing is!! And notice how there is no seam anywhere, it's cast!!
